Winston & Strawn Chairman Tom Fitzgerald served as a panelist at the Executives’ Club of Chicago’s C-Suite Exchange: Advancing Workplace Diversity & Inclusion. Tom, along with other chief executives from Clorox, Navigant, U.S. Steel Corporation, PwC, and Katten Muchin Rosenman, discussed lessons learned from signing the CEO Action pledge, where diversity and inclusion initiatives are still falling short, and how companies can take steps to enhance innovation, decision-making, and economic growth. Part of the diversity leadership series, this lunch program was held on December 5 at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago.
The CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion is intended to support more inclusive workplaces by having difficult conversations, expanding unconscious bias education, and sharing best practices. CEO Action is advancing their efforts, to create accountability systems to track progress, learn from one another, and better serve their employees and society as a whole.
