Winston & Strawn hosted a series of fireside chats on the 2024 Presidential Election featuring the former U.S. Ambassador to Spain and Andorra and partner Julissa Reynoso. In addition to her role as ambassador, Julissa held senior positions in the White House serving as Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to Dr. Jill Biden.
Julissa shared her impressions of the state of the 2024 presidential election and what we might expect from each candidate in their first 100 days of office. Partner Jonathan Brightbill provided a Republican perspective. Jonathan was Acting Assistant Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice under President Trump, serving at DOJ from July 2017 to January 2021 under both Attorney Generals Sessions and Barr.
The New York and Washington, D.C. discussions were moderated by International Trade partner Cari Stinebower, who formerly served with the U.S. Department of Treasury. The Miami discussion was moderated by partner Gus Membiela.
