Winston & Strawn Co-Hosts NextGen Judicial Panel

Winston & Strawn was proud to co-host a judicial panel discussion with The Next Generation Lawyers Group, Berkeley Center for Law & Technology, and the ABA Antitrust Unilateral Conduct Committee, during which three judges provided advice for young lawyers on their development as advocates and as professionals.

The panel included the Hon. Philip Halpern of the Southern District of New York, the Hon. Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers of the Northern District of California, and the Hon. Jacqueline Corley of the Northern District of California, all of whom have standing orders that encourage the participation of newer attorneys in stand-up opportunities. Panel questions covered a variety of topics, including:

• Early development as advocates
• Perspective on networking and mentorship
• Advice to advocates based on their experience as judges

The Next Generation Lawyers Group is a committee of lawyers and judges dedicated to promoting speaking or “stand-up” opportunities in court for young lawyers.
