Winston Commits to Equal Gender Representation in International Disputes and Arbitration
June 10, 2021
In demonstration of the firm’s long-standing and strong commitment to gender equality, Winston & Strawn has signed the Equal Representation in Arbitration (ERA) Pledge – a global initiative to address the under-representation of women in international arbitral tribunals.
The overarching objectives of the ERA Pledge are to improve the profile and representation of women in arbitration and to appoint women as arbitrators on an equal opportunity basis.
“Winston & Strawn is committed to promoting diversity and the advancement of women in all areas of the law and continues to work internally and externally to see that equality is pursued in all aspects of our profession and in society.” – Paula Hinton
In addition to signing the ERA Pledge, Winston has become a sponsor of Arbitral Women—a global network of women involved in international dispute resolution.
The following Winston attorneys are Arbitral Women members:
- Houston Partner Paula Hinton
- Paris Partner Maria Kostytska
- London Associate Suzanne Labi
- Paris Associate Daria Astakhova
