HEARTLAND HUMAN CARE SERVICES SEPARATES FROM HEARTLAND ALLIANCE
Winston represented Heartland Human Care Services, Inc. (HHCS) in connection with its separation from Heartland Alliance.
HHCS is a nonprofit organization that provides a wide array of social services for individuals facing poverty, displacement, and injustice. It traces its roots to 1888, to the work begun in Chicago by Jane Addams serving travelers and migrants in distress.
The Winston team representing Heartland Human Care Services included Chicago attorneys Patrick Doyle, Michael Hill, Katie Mariani, Tyler Speakes, Grace Vorbrich and Erin Weber; and Washington, D.C. attorney Bryant Gardner.
THE ART AND BUSINESS COUNCIL OF CHICAGO COMBINES WITH LAWYERS FOR THE CREATIVE ARTS
Winston represented the Arts and Business Council of Chicago (A&BC) in a transaction that transferred its programs into Lawyers for the Creative Arts. Once A&BC’s programs are fully integrated into Lawyers for the Creative Arts, A&BC will discontinue operations as a free-standing nonprofit.
A&BC and Lawyers for the Creative Arts have supported Chicago’s vibrant arts and entertainment culture by providing pro bono legal assistance to artists and arts organizations.
Chicago attorneys Mark Harris and Tyler Speakes represented A&BC in this transaction.
