Winston Represents LA SkyRail Express in American Road & Transportation Builders Association’s Innovation of the Year Award

Winston & Strawn served as legal counsel to LA SkyRail Express in connection with the “Innovation of the Year Award” presented by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association’s 33rd Annual Public Private Partnerships (P3s) in Transportation Conference. The consortium was awarded for its pre-development agreement with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority to perform certain predevelopment work for the proposed delivery of a new fixed-guideway transit service running from the San Fernando Valley to West Los Angeles. The $9.5 billion project is a first-of-its-kind, availability-based public-private model. The Winston team was led by Partner Mike Pikiel and Associate Dan Shapiro.

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) “Public-Private Partnership Awards Program” is an annual competition to honor and draw attention to individuals, projects, organizations, and ideas that demonstrate outstanding achievement in the establishment and delivery of U.S. transportation P3 projects.
