Winston & Strawn Welcomes David Dalke to the IP Litigation Practice of the Los Angeles Office
July 26, 2011
LOS ANGELES — Winston & Strawn LLP announced today that David Dalke joined its growing intellectual property litigation practice in Los Angeles as of counsel. A scientist, as well as a registered patent attorney, with a background in immunology and molecular biology, Dalke focuses his legal practice in matters involving complex biotechnology and life sciences. He also brings to the Los Angeles IP practice experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, gene therapy, and antisense technology industries. Dalke joins Winston from O'Melveny & Myers LLP.
"David brings a rare technical knowledge to our IP litigation practice," said Laura Petroff, managing partner of Winston's Los Angeles office. "His nuanced understanding of biotechnology and patent law is a tremendous asset to the firm's existing and new clients in Los Angeles and will certainly help us build our practice in this growing field."
Most recently, Winston added prominent IP litigation partner David Enzminger to its Los Angeles office, and more than 15 IP litigation partners from the former Howrey law firm to its Chicago and Washington, D.C. offices, as well as its newly opened Houston office.
Dalke holds a J.D. from Chicago Kent College of Law, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Saint Mary's College of Minnesota. He received a Ph.D. in immunology from Northwestern University.
