Winston Strengthens West Coast Private Equity Practice With Addition of Two Partners

LOS ANGELES – Winston & Strawn LLP is pleased to announce the addition of corporate attorneys Stephen Antion and Daniel Peters as partners in Los Angeles, adding depth to the firm’s West Coast private equity and M&A practices. They join Winston from Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where Steve was head of that firm’s Los Angeles corporate practice.

With extensive experience both in private practice and as the president of a private investment company (Ridgestone Corporation, 2000-2010), Steve represents private equity firms, entrepreneurial businesses, and family offices in a wide range of transactions, with an emphasis on M&A, corporate finance, and securities law. Serving as outside general counsel to a number of private companies, Steve also advises on governance, executive compensation, and commercial transactions. His clients encompass a broad array of industries, including packaging, software, distribution, finance, digital media, retail, aerospace, and consumer products. He also has experience advising on distressed acquisitions and related matters.

Dan represents corporate and private equity clients in domestic and cross-border transactions across a variety of industries, concentrating on M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and investments. He has substantial experience advising both strategic investors and issuers in venture capital. Dan also counsels public and private companies on the legal and strategic aspects of their business operations, including corporate governance and compliance matters, guiding emerging businesses throughout all stages of growth.
