Winston Team Receives Shout Out in Am Law Litigation Daily's Litigator of the Week Column

A Winston & Strawn team led by Chuck Klein, Nimalka Wickramasekera, Diana Leiden, and Michael Meneghini was recognized in the Litigator of the Week column by the Am Law Litigation Daily on February 7, 2025.

The recognition stems from a win in which the team helped Abbott Laboratories fend off patent, unfair competition, and false advertising case claims brought by Evolve Biosystems Inc. and the Regents of the University of California. U.S. District Judge Jorge Alonso in Chicago found last month that the two asserted patents were invalid as anticipated by the prior art. The judge further found Evolve lacked evidence to prove its false advertising claims. Alonso entered final judgment for Abbott last week.

The team also included Steve D’Amore, Kevin Boyle, Devin Garrity, Heather Donato, Patricia Pratt, John Poziopoulos, and Jolie Lowe.
