Anthony Baker

He has played crucial roles on litigation and trial teams including brief writing, managing discovery, conducting internal investigations, preparing witnesses for depositions, and preparing witness examinations for trial testimony. In addition, Anthony has experience at various stages of class action litigation, including drafting motions to dismiss, opposing class certification, and working closely with experts to draft reports. Most recently, Anthony was part of a team that won summary judgment for a client facing a series of lawsuits for alleged price-fixing, as well as achieved numerous dismissals of cases at the motion to dismiss stage.

Prior to joining Winston, Anthony worked as an extern for the United States Attorney’s Office in Illinois, where he gained experience drafting appellate briefs, settlement response letters, and pre-trial and post-trial motions. He also worked as an extern in the Federal District Court of Eastern Missouri for Chief Judge Rodney Sippel.

Anthony is committed to his pro bono practice, where he has dedicated his time to the representation of clients seeking asylum. He was part of a team that recently won asylum for a woman and her child who fled from Guatemala for their family’s safety.
