Claudine A. Chen-Young
Claudine is a recognized “go-to” structured finance lawyer servicing her clients on the full range of residential mortgage finance needs.
Claudine counsels financial institutions that buy and sell mortgage products, and she assists issuers with structuring the financing of mortgage financial assets including through securitizations. In addition, Claudine has helped companies create acquisition programs for the purchase and sale of several types of mortgage loans, establish servicing and related arrangements, and obtain financing through warehouse and other credit facilities. She represents global financial institutions and financial services clients such as underwriters, investors, banks and asset managers.
A seasoned mortgage-backed securitization and mortgage finance attorney for over 20 years, Claudine has extensive experience with buying and selling all types of residential, commercial and business-purpose mortgage loans, including non-QM, investor and residential transition “fix and flip” loans. She supports clients in creating innovative deal structures through securitization and other strategies, including representing first time securitization issuers. Her extensive experience with buying and selling the full range of mortgage assets allows her to negotiate tough transactions efficiently and effectively. Claudine provides critical support to business teams towards smooth and successful deal execution.
As former Chair of the Structured Finance Association’s Women in Securitization Cabinet, Claudine is also highly recognized for her commitment to support, educate and elevate of women in the structured finance industry.
