Katherine focuses her practice on the tax aspects of a diverse range of business transactions.
Katherine advises clients on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, joint ventures, digital asset transactions, financings and transactions involving distressed companies, including both out of court restructurings and in bankruptcy. Katherine has extensive experience working with Latin American companies and fund sponsors. Katherine’s industry experience includes oil and gas, real estate, technology, financial services, digital assets, professional services, gaming, utilities and infrastructure.
Additionally, Katherine also regularly advises private fund managers on the tax aspects of fund formation, both as an external advisor and through her experience as in-house counsel with a global asset manager.

Katherine received her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. She earned her Ph. D. from Bowling Green State University and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
