Nathan Gilbert
Associate
Nathan focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, consumer class actions, and trials. He counsels and represents clients in a variety of industries in both state and federal court to help them solve some of their biggest problems both inside and outside of the courtroom.
In addition to complex commercial litigation, Nathan has experience defending consumer class actions, securities cases, and conducting internal investigations. He has experience in all phases of litigation in state and federal courts around the country, including trial, and is well-versed in developing claims and defenses, conducting legal research, drafting dispositive motions, managing all aspects of discovery, preparing witnesses for and defending depositions, and preparing for trial and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Nathan is a member of Winston & Strawn’s PRIDE affinity group.

Education
Nathan received a B.A., with distinction, in Political Science with a focus in East Asian Language and Culture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013, a certificate degree from the John Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies and Nanjing University in 2014, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2017. He was a staffer for the Columbia Business Law Review, a 2016 Stone Scholar and a member of the Columbia Business Law Association, Columbia Society of International Law, Jewish Law Students Association, and Midwest Society.
