Jeff is a complex-commercial litigator who concentrates his practice on business disputes, including breach of contract, fraud, and securities matters. He has significant experience in all aspects of litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country, including trying numerous cases to verdict.

- Secured a fraud verdict against an investor where his client received full compensatory damages, punitive damages, and attorneys’ fees
- Led an arbitration concerning a technology dispute and securing full compensatory damages and interest for his client
- Participated in various successful preliminary injunction hearings for real estate, sports, and employment related matters
- Participated in a post-closing M&A trial and securing a favorable judgment shortly after his client’s case was filed
- Participated in a post-closing M&A arbitration leading to a favorable resolution for his client
- Represented an industry trade association and the U.S. manufacturers of high fructose corn syrup through discovery and trial in a high-profile false advertising case brought by sugar industry companies and trade associations
- Successfully won and defended various motions to dismiss and summary judgment filings on behalf of clients in complex commercial matters, financial services litigation, securities litigation, and M&A disputes
- Conducted various internal investigations on behalf of major organizations
- Represented underwriters in securities matters

Jeff also maintains an active pro bono practice, including first-chairing a jury trial, securing a favorable judgment under the Illinois Hate Crime Act, and advising a charitable investment fund assisting underrepresented business founders.
