Co-Chair of Winston & Strawn’s Finance Practice, Michael has extensive experience advising asset managers, banks, and investment funds in connection with a wide range of financing transactions.
Michael has a broad-ranging corporate finance practice, focusing primarily on commercial financings, fund finance, CLOs, warehouse/leverage facilities, and structured finance products. He represents asset managers, banks, and investment funds in connection with a wide range of financing transactions. Michael also regularly represents issuers, investment banks, collateral managers, investment funds, and institutional investors in structured finance and debt transactions at all levels of the capital structure, with particular emphasis in transactions involving alternative asset managers, regulated and unregulated funds, and private credit funds.
His practice includes the representation of asset managers, institutional investors, and issuers in structuring, formation, and ongoing compliance issues regarding onshore and offshore investment funds, collateralized loan obligations, and other structured finance products.

Michael received a B.S., magna cum laude, in Accounting from Marquette University in 1994 and a J.D., with honors, from the DePaul University College of Law in 1997, where he was an editor of the DePaul Law Review.
