Thanh is a litigation associate in Winston’s Dallas office, where his practice spans a broad range of litigation matters.
Before joining the firm, Thanh clerked for three federal judges—the Honorable U.S. Magistrate Judge Kimberly C. Priest Johnson of the Eastern District of Texas, the Honorable U.S. District Judge Marina Garcia Marmolejo of the Southern District of Texas, and the Honorable U.S. Circuit Judge Beth Robinson of the Second Circuit. During his clerkships, Thanh assisted the judges with presiding over 1,200 cases and 23 trials. He gained experience in a wide range of civil and criminal matters, including trademark infringement, antitrust, employment discrimination, prisoner rights, and federal sentencing.
While in law school, Thanh interned for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the World Bank Group, and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Before law school, Thanh worked as an immigration paralegal, a copyeditor for human rights publications, and a volunteer teacher in a state prison.

Thanh earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. There, he served as the Managing Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Modern Critical Race Perspectives, competed on the moot court team, and assisted first-year students as a legal writing fellow. He also participated in the law school's Civil Litigation Clinic. Thanh received his B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University.
