Samuel Riebe

Samuel focuses his practice on intellectual property matters. He leverages his industry experience as an engineer to tackle complex issues across a broad range of technologies.
Prior to joining the firm, Samuel was a law clerk for the Honorable Roy S. Payne of the Eastern District of Texas where he managed half of Judge Payne’s busy patent docket, was involved in dozens of Markman hearings, and facilitated five trials with three different judges.
He also practiced at a boutique intellectual property firm where he prepared and prosecuted domestic and international patent applications in a variety of technical fields, including oil and gas, semiconductors, biomedical devices, power generation and storage, electronics, and computer software.
Before practicing law, Samuel worked as a field engineer for two multi-national companies where he provided technical services and solutions to industrial customers throughout the Western United States.

Education
Samuel earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2020, where he received the CALI Award for Trademark Law and wrote for the Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine. He graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University in 2014.
