Therese (Tess) focuses her practice on private equity fund formation and management.
Tess is a funds associate in the Chicago office. She focuses her practice on advising private equity sponsors in connection with the formation, structuring, marketing and operation of private investment funds, as well as the operational, legal and regulatory issues faced by sponsors and institutional investors.

Tess received her J.D. and J.D. Certificate in Business & Corporate Law from Washington University School of Law in 2022, where she was on the Dean’s List, a recipient of the Scholar in Law Award, and earned both the CALI Award in Securities Regulation and the Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Outstanding Brief Award. While in law school, she served as Publication Editor for the Journal of Law and Policy and worked in the Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Clinic. Tess received her B.S.B.A. in Economics with minors in Spanish and Justice Studies, magna cum laude, from Xavier University in 2018. She was a Presidential Scholar, on the Dean’s List, and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society and Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. During her final undergraduate year, she was awarded the Craig Menderson Leadership in Economics Award.
