Michelle holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering, an MBA, and concentrates her practice on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. Michelle’s business and engineering background allow her to understand and provide for her clients’ needs in a variety of industries.
Michelle has experience representing clients in contract disputes, especially those concerning oil and gas properties, as well as in patent litigation matters, including in the biomedical device and software spaces. She is a member of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence Group, dedicated to keeping clients up to date on the potential legal risks that accompany the use of generative AI.
During her time at the University of Texas School of Law, Michelle was both Chief Articles Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology at Texas and the Alumni Chair of the Chicano Hispanic Latino Law Student Association.
Prior to law school, Michelle was a two-time All-American volleyball player at the University of Texas at Dallas. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. She was then awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and continued her education at UT Dallas, graduating with an M.B.A.
Michelle earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2023, where she was the Alumni Chair of the Chicano Hispanic Latino Law Student Association and Chief Articles Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology at Texas. She received her MBA in 2020 and her B.S. in mechanical engineering, magna cum laude, in 2017 from the University of Texas at Dallas.
