Alyson Traw

Alyson is a former prosecutor and housing authority attorney with significant litigation experience.
Alyson focuses on financial services litigation. She has experience in commercial leasing, title review and research, property rezoning, landlord representation in summary ejectment matters, real property condemnation, drafting and negotiating agreements for the sale and purchase of real property (including multi-million dollar transactions, securitized loan assumptions, and tenant-in-common transactions).
Alyson defends financial institutions in state and federal court throughout the country in a wide range of matters involving consumer financial services litigation, including those involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Truth-in-Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), as well as other state and federal consumer protection laws.
On a pro bono basis, Alyson regularly volunteers for the Wills for Heroes program.

Education
Alyson attended the University of South Carolina as a Merit Scholar and received her J.D. in 2003. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Bar, Order of the Barristers, and ABA National Competition Team. She received a B.A. in English, magna cum laude, and a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 2000, where she was selected as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
