The U.S. Coast Guard’s Oversight Roles During the Implementation Phase of Offshore Wind Projects
January 31, 2019
As demonstrated in the recent record-breaking lease sale in Massachusetts, the development of offshore wind projects in the U.S is increasingly active, and a number of large-scale projects are underway. U.S. government policies and regulations continue to play a key role in offshore wind farm development. Winston & Strawn, along with Business Network for Offshore Wind and Marine Log, will lead a series of interactive discussions with U.S. government officials and industry authorities on regulatory issues affecting the construction and financing of offshore wind projects in the U.S.
The first topic, “The U.S. Coast Guard’s Oversight Roles During the Implementation Phase of Offshore Wind Projects,” took place on January 31. Winston was joined by Edward LeBlanc, Chief – Waterways Management Division of the U.S. Coast Guard and Carl Moberg, Supervisory Marine Inspector of the U.S. Coast Guard.
