Winston Earns Perfect Score on LGBTQ Equality Index for Twelfth Year in a Row
January 21, 2020
For the twelfth consecutive year, Winston & Strawn has earned a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and been named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).
Winston’s long track record of meeting all of HRC’s continually evolving metrics reflects our firm’s steadfast commitment to progressive LGBTQ workplace policies and practices and an inclusive environment for all of our employees.
“The firm is committed to building an inclusive workplace for its LGBTQ employees,” Partner David Sakowitz, Co-Chair of the Winston Pride affinity group, said. “In addition to the progressive policies and health and well-being benefits we provide to all of our attorneys and professional staff, we have implemented firmwide unconscious bias training that covers sexual orientation, heterosexism, gender identity, and gender expression.”
Additionally, Winston Pride, our LGBTQ affinity group, works closely with the firm’s Pro Bono Department to defend the rights of individuals and the LGBTQ community in significant pro bono matters.
