Winston & Strawn Expands New York Office

Winston & Strawn's expansion of the New York office was profiled in New York Law Journal's "Marketplace" column on December 15. Winston has signed a 15-year renewal and expansion of this office, adding approximately 20,000 square feet.

"The new lease provides the infrastructure and wherewithal to expand our footprint in New York consistent with our strategy in this market," said New York managing partner Michael Elkin. Winston has experienced extensive lateral growth and has acquired several private practices, including an eight-lawyer private equity group, a three-lawyer bank restructuring practice and a three-lawyer technical outsourcing group, Mr. Elkin said. He also told the New York Law Journal that Winston hopes to add 100 attorneys over the next two years.

Winston has been a tenant of the MetLife Building since 1995.
