Patrick focuses his practice on white collar, government enforcement, internal investigations, and grand jury investigations for financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, and other companies and individuals.
He has significant experience with internal investigations and frequently assists clients in investigating and addressing potential regulatory, criminal, and civil violations at the state and federal levels, including responding to allegations of fraud and public corruption.
Patrick advises companies on navigating statutory and regulatory obligations. His experience includes highly complex matters related to foreign exchange, mortgage lending, loan modifications, tax credits, and consumer financial products, among many others. Patrick has worked on matters adverse to the U.S. Department of Justice, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of the Comptroller of Currency, Securities and Exchange Commission, and several state attorneys general.
Patrick also has a strong commitment to pro bono representation. He has assisted clients in a variety of matters including post-conviction relief efforts on behalf of indigent state and federal prisoners, class action representation of federal prisoners, veteran discharge upgrade petitions, and contractual and general advice for a non-profit educational institution. He has also served as a Charlotte Triage Pro Bono Project Champion for criminal record expungements since 2023.

Education
Patrick earned a J.D., magna cum laude, in 2016 from Georgetown University Law Center where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif, served as an Articles and Notes Editor for the American Criminal Law Review, and was a member of the Appellate Advocacy Division of the Barrister’s Council. He received his B.S. in marketing and B.A. in English in 2001 from the University of Maryland.
