Kaitlin is a skilled litigator with significant experience advising health care and life sciences companies, financial institutions, and individuals with respect to criminal investigations, enforcement proceedings, and compliance matters.
Kaitlin’s experience includes successfully representing clients in criminal and civil enforcement proceedings brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and state attorneys general—up to and including at trial—as well as managing internal investigations concerning potential misconduct. She advises clients on a range of legal issues, including the False Claims Act (FCA), Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), Stark Law, and fraud and bribery statutes. Kaitlin also regularly assists health care providers in navigating certificate of need laws in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
Prior to joining the firm, Kaitlin served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Simpson III of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and interned in both the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Juvenile Division of the Nashville Public Defender’s Office. She draws on these varied perspectives each day in assisting her clients.
Kaitlin maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes assisting persecuted individuals in obtaining asylum in the United States and defending the constitutional rights of prisoners. Kaitlin also serves on the firm’s Recruitment Committee.

Kaitlin received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2017, where she served on the managing board of the Virginia Journal of International Law and was a member of the school’s Prosecution Clinic. She graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 2014, receiving a B.A. in political science and a B.S. in human and organizational development.
