Zachary J. Bass
Associate
Zachary leverages his experience as a former judicial clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. District Court to serve clients in a vast array of litigation matters, including patent, copyright, trademark, sports, media, and entertainment disputes.
A graduate of New York University School of Law, Zachary Bass started in the firm’s New York office from Winston’s summer associate program. He returns to Winston following his time on the inaugural clerkship team of the Hon. Sherilyn Garnett of the U.S. District Court of the Central District of California and the second clerkship team of the Hon. Andre B. Mathis of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Prior to his legal career, Zachary assisted in the engineering and manufacturing of theme park attractions for Disney and Universal Studios and was recognized on the Daytona Beach News-Journal’s “40 Under 40.”

Education
Zachary received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2021, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the NYU Journal of Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law and President of the Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law Society. He received his B.S., with high honors, in marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2015, where he was selected as a Senior 100 Honoree and member of Class XIX of the Hoeft Technology & Management Program.
