Joseph E. Harper
Associate
Joseph is a project finance attorney with experience structuring solar and wind deals in the renewable energy sector.
He represents clients in a variety of transactions including project finance, corporate lending, and structured finance. Joseph works on a number of renewable energy projects involving solar and wind power throughout the country, complex transactions involving back-leverage financings, tax equity financing, inverted leases, Holdco, and investment tax credit financings.
Prior to joining Winston, Joseph served as a research assistant to Professor Gregory Keating at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and as a certified law student intern at the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Clinic in Los Angeles. Prior to law school, he was a musician, kombucha brewer, and wine director at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Education
Joseph received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2020, where he was an Executive Postscript Editor for the Southern California Law Review, elected to the Order of the Coif, and served as Director of Communications for the Energy and Environmental Law Society. He received his B.A. in English Literature and Spanish, summa cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans in 2007.
