Luke focuses his practice on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions.
Luke's practice includes portfolio acquisitions and sales, leasing, financing, workouts, real estate investment funds, and private equity. He has also written extensively about the intersection of real estate and bankruptcy law.
During law school, Luke externed for the Honorable Robert Kwan of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California and was a Research Assistant for the Consumer Bankruptcy Project with Professor Robert Lawless. Prior to law school he worked as a paralegal for a boutique real estate law firm in Chicago.
Luke received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was a Notes Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. In law school, he earned recognition as a Harno Scholar and as a recipient of the Rickert Award for Excellence in Legal Writing. Luke received his B.A., with honors, from the University of Chicago, where he was part of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
