Tyree Petty-Williams

Through his experience in complex commercial litigation and product liability, Tyree has defended numerous clients in consumer class actions and multi-district litigation at the state and federal levels. He has trial experience across various practice areas and is skilled in multiple aspects of the litigation process, including pleadings, fact discovery, jury research, dispositive motions, and appellate briefs. He has also helped counsel clients directly to develop strong case strategies by analyzing statutes, regulations, and case law.

Tyree recently rejoined the firm after completing a one-year clerkship with the Honorable Gershwin A. Drain in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Prior to joining Winston, Tyree completed a fellowship with the Chicago Coalition to end Homelessness, where he focused on housing and education access for unhoused Chicagoans. In this role, Tyree prepared various criminal records relief documents, advocated for clients’ admission to public housing and education opportunities, and helped formerly incarcerated individuals obtain financial assistance.
