Veronica Sofia Stoever

Veronica received an LCLD fellowship to work at Winston & Strawn as a 1L and 2L summer associate before she joined the firm. She currently focuses on trademark and copyright law and on products liability. 

Veronica has experience counseling and representing Spanish speaking clients, including Latin American corporate subsidiaries. In her pro bono practice, she has represented Spanish speaking clients on immigration, asylum, and housing matters. She is an active member of La Alianza at Winston. 

In law school, Veronica was twice awarded the Jurisprudence Award. She received a Diploma Recognition from the Dean of Berkeley Law for her public interest and social justice contributions, which ranged from drafting an amicus curiae brief for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, to assisting small business founders in forming legal entities, to externing at the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, in the Domestic Violence Unit. She worked as the supervising articles editor for the La Raza Law Journal.

Prior to law school, Veronica earned her M.A. in Urban Education and taught high school Spanish for six years. Her favorite classes to teach were Advanced Placement Spanish Language and Culture, Spanish for Native Speakers, and Spanish Level III.
