Daniel Bley

Daniel focuses his practice on derivatives, structured products, and structured finance, including activist investor strategies, regulatory capital solutions, and restructuring distressed cash and synthetic structured financial products.
Dan represents broker-dealers, hedge funds, financial institutions, asset managers, and end-users in a range of derivatives and structured products transactions, including loan facility total return swaps, deal-contingent commodity, interest rate and FX swaps, tender option bonds, risk retention financing transactions, and bond restructurings.
Dan also has experience in litigation with respect to distressed structured products, including direct actions, interpleaders and trust instruction proceedings, and the resolution and settlement of such litigation. Dan also has experience in debt capital markets, CLOs, and warehouse/leverage facilities.
Prior to his legal career, he worked as an aerospace engineer for the Department of the Navy.
