On October 4, Winston & Strawn’s London Office held an Insight Day for young aspiring lawyers from Queen Anne’s School.

On July 7, Winston & Strawn’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) hosted our fourth annual European Region Seminar in Paris.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Winston & Strawn hosted an illuminating and inspiring discussion with Eliza Reid, Iceland’s First Lady and author of “Secrets of the Sprakkar: Iceland’s Extraordinary Women and How They Are Changing the World.”

As part of Winston & Strawn’s celebration of Women’s History Month, trailblazer, author, and former Wall Street Journal careers columnist, Joann S. Lublin provided insider tips on how to manage a career and parenthood.

In honor of International Women’s Day, Winston welcomed author and film critic, Elizabeth Weitzman for a discussion on the role of pop culture and entertainment in shaping society’s views about women.

Winston & Strawn’s London office recently hosted an online Winter Celebration Art Masterclass with acclaimed art historian Rose Balston.

Winston & Strawn’s women attorneys in Dallas and Houston recently gathered in the firm’s Dallas office for a one-day professional development retreat hosted by our Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI).

The Women’s Leadership Initiative in Winston & Strawn’s Los Angeles office invited firm members, clients, and friends to eat, drink, and shop local at a Holiday Bazaar it hosted on December 3. This event “for women by women” featured five vendors – all women-owned businesses – selling a variety of apparel, jewelry, art, plants and pots, and health and wellness items.

Winston’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) presented a discussion on the difficult and extremely important topic of Human Trafficking in response to firm member requests for more programming around social justice issues. 

Winston’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) affinity group hosted a professional development program open to all firm members titled “Why Capable People Feel Like Impostors and How to Thrive in Spite of It” on June 11 featuring Dr. Valerie Young.

Winston & Strawn invited women law student organization members from the University of Chicago, Northwestern, UCLA, and USC to attend viewings in our offices of the national Campus ERA Day program on April 15.

On July 12, 2018, Winston’s London office welcomed 30 executives from leading companies across the city for our second annual Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Networking event. 

The highlight of Winston’s Women’s History Month programming was a March 23 presentation by veteran journalist Joanne Lipman, author of the critically acclaimed new book, That’s What She Said: What Men Need to Know (and Women Need to Tell them) about Working Together. 

The firm’s Chicago Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Holiday Lunch, held in partnership with the Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights, was dedicated to giving back and engaging with those in need. 

On November 2, Winston’s London office welcomed 20 executives from leading companies across the city for our first Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Networking Drinks event. 

Twenty women partners from law firms across the country came together on October 20 for the 2nd Women’s Initiative Roundtable: A Firm to Firm Conversation facilitated by Karen Kahn of Threshold Advisors and hosted in Winston’s New York office.

The women partners, associates, and trainees in Winston’s London office attended an in-house training session held March 21 on “Navigating Career Progression.” This event, hosted by the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), featured organizational coach Claire Pointing of DML Consulting.

Our Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) recently welcomed its new chair Paula Hinton, a Houston partner and accomplished litigator who has long been an active and passionate advocate for women in the profession.
