Mark concentrates his practice in international tax planning, finance, real estate, and transactional tax matters.
Mark advises clients in a wide variety of structured finance and project finance transactions, including transactions relating to CLOs, warehouse/leverage facilities, and other securitization structures, financing renewable and alternative energy sources, real estate mortgage investment conduits (REMICs), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), and real estate investment trusts (REITs).
Mark was recognized in the 2024 edition of The Legal 500 US as a “Key Lawyer” in the area of US Taxes: Non-Contentious.
Mark received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2010. He received his B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 2006.
Recently, Mark Christy spoke at the 2019 SBIC Fund Conference that took place from June 17-18, 2019. The presentation was entitled: "Tax Considerations for Private Equity Funds."
