Marcus focuses his practice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
Marcus assists clients with their qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefits, EBEC due diligence, and executive compensation plans and agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Marcus completed the Public Interest Law Initiative Fellowship with Catholic Charities Legal Assistance in Chicago. Before law school, he worked as a law clerk for a sole practitioner who focused largely on labor, employment, employee benefits, and human resources consulting matters.
Marcus received his B.A., cum laude, in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame in 2012, where he achieved Dean’s List recognition and was a member of Psi Chi (International Psychology Honor Society) and Alpha Kappa Delta (International Sociology Honor Society). He received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2017, where he served as managing editor for the Duke Journal of Gender Law & Policy, editor of electronic content for the Duke Forum for Law & Social Change, and president of the Duke Law Sports and Entertainment Law Society.
