Life at Winston

Welcome to the members of the U.S.-based Class of 2024!

Thank you to the 10 Winston for Good volunteers who came out and contributed to our local community. 

Our Summer Associates joined forces with attorneys and professional staff from coast to coast in the United States to make an intentional impact in our communities. 

Winston for Good volunteers in London recently hosted a career day for 20 A-Level students who attend Harris Federation academies in London and Essex.

Twenty-one members of the Dallas office donned construction hats and wielded hammers to help bring a local family’s dream of owning a home to fruition. The handy Winston for Good volunteers included partners, associates, summer associates, and professional staff.

On June 13, Paris partner Grine Lahreche entered the boxing ring to test his mettle in the White-Collar Challenge and raise money for Papillons du Ciel—an association that supports the education of children on a tiny island in Madagascar. Grine vanquished his opponent with a knock-out in the first round! 

Peter Crowther is perhaps best known as Winston’s recently named Managing Partner, International Affairs, and a member of the newly created Office of the Chair, but he is also a philanthropist extraordinaire.

Winston teams, representing six U.S. offices, joined Cycle for Survival riders around the country to raise money to fund a cure for rare cancers.

In conjunction with Black History Month, our New York office hosted youth from The Fresh Air Fund—a not-for-profit youth development organization—for a panel on Black Excellence in the Law.

Winston for Good volunteers from across the U.S. and in London turned out in force to pay homage to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s unwavering commitment to civil rights and community service. More than 200 attorneys and professional staff assembled 2,600+ care packages, which will be distributed within our communities.

Thank you to the many Winston attorneys and professional staff who donated time, money, food, clothing, and toys to make the holiday season a little brighter for those in our community who are less fortunate. Your kindness and generosity have brought a little light and joy into the lives of others. 

Thank you to our dedicated Winston For Good volunteers who have helped make the lives of people in our communities a little bit better this year. 

Four Winston offices recently participated in Cycle for Survival and raised $42,780 to help discover a cure for rare cancers. This year, Winston’s Miami office joined Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco/Silicon Valley teams in this important fundraiser.

Veronica Major has dedicated her life to helping others and is renowned for her kindness and generosity. Eight Winston volunteers recently spent an afternoon at Nourishing Hope packing produce and other food items for distribution to food-insecure residents in Chicago.

From London to Los Angeles, Winston For Good volunteers helped make the world a little bit better this summer.

In addition to gaining exceptional legal experience—and perhaps taking in a boat cruise or friendly bowling challenge—Winston’s summer associates made a big difference in our local communities this summer by participating in a wide range of Winston For Good events.

It’s been two long years since Covid-19 precluded Winston’s Charlotte office from participating in “Operation Sandwich”—a monthly sandwich-making event for homeless individuals served by A Roof Above—and the Charlotte office certainly made up for lost time!
